My name is Rebecca I have been living in Florida since September 1966.
I was looking at my 49 year old year book from when I graduated High School in the Bronx, New York in June 1959. That was a long time ago, but it seems like yesterday. I took some pictures of the Year Book with my Sony Digital Camera and I am posting them on the Net. I don't remember some of the students I attended classes with, but maybe you might recall some faces if you see them above as they scroll by. I will be adding others as I develop this Year Book link so that others can go back in time and perhaps remember who you attended school with that year to bring back some memories...
Some are no longer with us, as our lives have taken many different paths. Perhaps your children may enjoy seeing you when you were in your younger years and how we all looked in the late 50's and 60's. Boy!!! those were the great days. The pictures scrolling above reflect our maiden names (birth names).
My own life has taken me in many different directions. I am fortunate to say that even though I married young I was still able to finish school, raise 3 great kids and my career has rewarded me with the changes in new Technology. I do all my own web design and maintain my own crafts domain and resources for students graduating high school and colleges throughout the U.S.. There are to date from the 1959 Year Book 126 photos. There were a total of approximately 400 students that graduated that June 1959.
Some of you probably lost or misplaced your Graduation Year Book from William H. Taft 1959. I was fortunate enough to keep mine in very good condition over the years even with all my moves and all the changes taken place in my life. In fact I still have my Wade Junior High School Graduation Picture from 1956. That was also in the Bronx, New York.
